The concept of luxury horse stables and horse barns is very common and found across the world.
Some of these stables are a bit more lavish than others though, and the horses housed in them live a life more luxurious than most people.

The Heilan Horse Culture Museum
The Heilan Horse Culture Museum is one of the most luxurious horse stables that exists. It is based in China and looks more like a museum than a horse stable.
The barn is furnished with marble floors, magnificent sculptures, chandeliers, grand stairs covered in red carpets, gold ceilings, and there is even a shopping mall and equestrian training facilities.
This stable accommodates over 300 different horses, which consists of 43 different breeds of horses, and represents 30 different countries.
Guests can come and view these horses in the “meet and greet” area, which helps people learn about the different breeds. The horses that are on duty for the day live in marble stables and are often done up with their manes braided or styled.
Within the barn, there is a space for dressage to be performed. This dressage performance space helped the Heilan Horse Museum to break the Guinness World Record for the biggest ever horse dressage.
The Grand Stables of Chantilly
The Grand Stables of Chantilly is located in France and was owned by the French noble family of Montmorency.
The construction of these stables took place between 1719 and 1735. The stable was designed to accommodate 240 horses, as well as 500 hunting dogs.
The Grand Stables were an architectural masterpiece, and were classified as “one of the most outstanding architectural achievements of the time”.
Sadly, the Grand Stables suffered neglect, and have been converted to the Museum of the Horse. This museum displays horse and man’s relationship since civilization started.
Rallywood Farm
The Rallywood Farm is found in the heart of Virginia, which is also known as the horse country. The farm itself measures up to 115 acres, and on it, is a quaint stable that can accommodate 12 horses.
The stables on Rallywood Farm form part of the mansion that was built on the farm. Part of the house is called “The Stable Wing”, and is the section that accommodates the horses, and the rest of it is dwellings for the horse owners.
These horses almost have free reign of the house and can make their way into the living room if they so please.
The stables themselves are made out of polished wood; they are extremely roomy and luxurious.
There are Dutch doors that open onto the stables, which provide adequate ventilation for the horses. The aisle in the center of the stable is paneled with rich hardwood, and has a green accent, to make it match the rest of the house.
The barn is kitted out with cozy nooks, comfortable chairs, and beautiful artwork. This makes it look like an ancient manor house more than what it looks like a barn.
Ribbonwood Stables
Ribbonwood Stables are situated in Texas, and they were designed by luxury barn architect Clayton Boyd.
The stables were designed with a luxurious antique look as the main source of inspiration. They are large, open, light, and airy.
There are 10 stables in this barn, each of which is oversized and has plenty of room for the horses to feel comfortable.
The aisles of the barn are lined with crystal chandeliers and decorated with old European royalty.
The stables are classy, modern, clean, and an actual pony paradise. The designers have managed to capture a homey feel to the barn, and it is pleasant to be in.
In addition to the stables themselves, the barn has a tack room, a wash rack, and a living room for the owners to hang around in.
The land that the barn was built on is 85 acres large and accommodates the stables and the main house, which is just as classy.
Sweetgrass Equestrian
Sweetgrass Equestrian is a top equine facility in Canada and offers boarding space for horses.
The great thing about it is that you don’t have to cough up millions of dollars to keep your horses there like you would have to do with other stables. Unfortunately, it does still cost a pretty penny, though.
Sweetgrass is located on a 55-acre property. It boasts an indoor Olympic-sized horse riding ring and has large, comfortable, stables.
The stables are equipped with impeccable ventilation systems and are equipped with StableComfort mats in every stall.
You are able to check on your horse 24 hours a day thanks to their cameras installed in the stables, that owners have remote control access to.
The Sweetgrass Equestrian stables also come with grooming stalls, washing stalls, heated floors, laundry facilities, and a heated lounge and tack room.
Christiansborg Palace Stables
Also known as the Royal Stables, these luxurious stables are situated in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Back in the day, the stable was able to accommodate 250 horses. Today, there are only about 20 that are housed there.
The horses that are stabled here act as royal mews for the Queen when she hosts events.
The building now houses the Danish parliament and the 20 horses that we mentioned.
Guests are allowed to go and visit the Royal Stables and see the horses and royal carriages that are housed there.
The Versailles Stables
The Versailles Stables consists of the Great and Small Stables, which was labeled as “the greatest royal construction project for housing horses ever undertaken”.
The Great Stables were able to house 2 000 horses, and the Small Stables were able to house approximately 700.
The stables are large, have tall ceilings, plenty of light, and look like a piece of art themselves.
