First Impression

The Saga weighs in at only 7.5 lbs., which is not a lot compared to other high-performance crossbows. Bear Archery Inc. advertises this crossbow as “Aggressive” and “Lethal.” And yes, it sure looks just like that!

Overall weight of 7.5 lbs and 14″ wide co*cked and 18″ wide unco*cked

We got a question about how long you can leave the crossbow co*cked. Customer Service at Bear Archery said you shouldn’t keep it co*cked for more than 5 hours!

For us, it was: The surprisingly low weight, its accuracy, how consistent it shoots, and HOW FAST IT IS!

If you are looking to hunt with a crossbow and want a high-performance bow, then this one is worth checking out.

The Bear Saga 405 Crossbow is an excellent product. But bear in mind that it has a draw weight of 210 lbs. Not for the small build or not as strong

Right now, the manufacturer doesn’t make a crank for it! You’ll have to use the co*cking rope (which is included…)

Includes 4×32 multi-reticle scope, 4-bolt quiver, three carbon bolts with field points, sling, co*cking rope, and rail lube. The Bear Saga is also very reasonably priced compared to similar crossbow packages from other brands. Plus, the adjustable stock is a nice feature to have too.
